Wet and windy day at Hackney Marshes. Streets started with a pena;ty followed by 3 tries in the first 15 minutes. Hitchin then got going, Streets scored one out wide before sustained pressure sucked players in, Will Evans threw a big miss pass to Paul Marvell, who stepped inside the drift defence to touch down on his 1xv league debut. A 35 metre penalty from Ben Wiggins narrowed the deficit, but Streets scored one more before half time.
Second half was more balanced, Prop Adam Naylor touching down at the back of a driving maul off a 5 metre lineout. Despite limited possession Streets still scored three tries, a finish from their strong 8 ending the match. A lot of heart shown after the first 15 minutes against unbeaten opposition.
