Biggleswade Rugby Club hosted our senior men in Saturday's Touch Rugby fixture. Two 8-a-side fixtures were played concurrently in the pleasant April sunshine. Plenty of fast, free-flowing rugby was on display, as the Hedgehogs learnt from last week's fixtures to win both matches.
The games were followed by post match food and drinks in covid-compliant tables of six. Thanks to Biggleswade’s hospitality, it was almost like a normal match day!
Rugby now moves into Stage D2 of the RFU framework, which allows for contact fixtures to new adapted laws (no scrums or mauls). Our first contact fixtures of 2021 will be on Saturday 8 May, with the 1XV travelling to Stockwood Park RFC, and the 2XV hosting the same opponents at KGV.
